13/14. Addison Pate was born in Weakly County, Tennessee in 1834. According to Compiled Service Records for Volunteer Union Soldiers Who Served in Organizations from the State of Texas, he was Union -- a private in the First Regiment, Texas Cavalry, Company C. According to his obituary he was Confederate. He died in 1927 at age 92, the second oldest of the 18 known veterans buried here. His wife Melissa Jane Hudspeth Pate is also buried here
