Bio:

Private John Jefferson was a Seminole Negro Indian Scout who was born at Fort Clark, located in Brackettville, Texas. He had black eyes, black hair, and a black complexion. He stood 5’10”. He was 28 when he first enlisted.

He completed 3 enlistments, serving from May 16, 1905 to May 15, 1914. He served under Lt. Nolan, Capt. Page, and Capt Boyer. He was stationed at Ft. Clark.

Note: Enlistments were frozen pending termination of the Seminole Negro Indian Scouts on June 31, 2014.
