Bio:

Private Sam Jefferson was a Seminole Negro Indian Scout who was born in Mexico. He had black eyes, black hair, and a black complexion. He stood 5’5”. He first enlisted when he was 26 years old.

He completed 1 enlistment, serving from April 30, 1894 to October 29, 1894. He served under Lt. Genlon and was stationed at Fort Clark and Fort Ringold. He died on July 14, 1934 and was buried at the Seminole Indian Scouts Cemetery in Brackettville, Texas.
