Bio:

Fay July was a Seminole Negro Indian Scout who was born in Mexico. He had black eyes, black hair, and a black complexion. He stood 5’5”. He first enlisted when he was 21.

He completed 9 enlistments, serving from September 16, 1893 to July 31, 1914. He served under Lt. Evans, Lt. Hayes, Lt. Ferron, Lt. Wade, Lt. Westerfelt, Lt. Blasland, Cpt. Babcock, Lt. Barney, and Lt. Kellum. He was stationed at Ft. Clark, Cp San Pedro, Ft. Ringold.

He became a 1st Sergeant during his 7th enlistment. He was honorably discharged at the age of 40 when the Seminole Negro Indian Scouts were disbanded.
