Bio:

Carolina Warrior was a Seminole Negro Indian Scout who was born in Texas. He had black eyes, black hair, and a copper complexion. He stood 5’11”. He was 21 when he first enlisted.

He completed 8 enlistments, serving from from October 11, 1893 to July 14, 1914. He served under Lt. Evans, Lt. Vestal, Lt. Shanks, Cpt. Read, Lt. Blasland, Cpt. Babcock, Lt. Barney, and Lt. Kellam. He was stationed at Ft. Clark and Ft. Ringold.

Note: When the scouts were disbanded, Carolina Warrior was transferred to the 9th Cavalry on July 14, 1914. Also, William “Dub” Warrior claimed his grandfather (Carolina) died in the Philippines.
