Prisoner of war since May 1942 in a Japanese prison camp in the Philippine islands. Prisoner for more than two years before the prison ship was sunk. Listed on the Monument at the Manila American Cemetery and Memorial. Listed on the War Memorial at Leonard Park, Gainesville, Texas.
