Bio:

Sam Gordon was a Seminole Negro Indian Scout who was born in Mexico. He had black eyes, black hair, and a mulatto complexion. He was 26 years old when he first enlisted.

He completed 3 enlistments, serving from January 13, 1893 to April 12, 1894. He was stationed at Fort Clark, Fort Ringold, and Cp San Pedro and served under Lt. Shawls, Lt. Vestal, and Lt. Hayes.
