Bio:
Daniel Johnson was a Seminole Negro Indian Scout who was born in Mexico. He had black eyes, black hair, and a black complexion. He stood 5’11”. He was 21 when he first enlisted.
He completed 4 enlistments, serving from August 2, 1872 to August 31, 1876. He served under Lt. Beyer, Lt. Markley, and Lt. Bullis. He was stationed at Fort Duncan, Cp Comanche, and Fort Clark.
Additional information: On September 15, 1876, Daniel Johnson was restrained from shooting Cesar Payne. On October 15, 1876, Daniel pulled a carbine on Lt. Bullis and threatened him. The next morning, Daniel was arrested and jailed. On November 15, 1876, Daniel, along with Benjamin Wilson, was jailed.
