Bio:
Peter Wilson was a Seminole Negro Indian Scout who was born in Arkansas (Indian Territory). He had black eyes, black hair, and a black complexion. He stood 5’7”. He was 45 when he first enlisted.
He completed four enlistments, serving from October 7, 1871 to October 10, 1873. He served under Major Bliss, Captain Beyer, Lt. Land, and Lt. Cranston. He was stationed at Fort Duncan and Fort Clark.
Note: Many with the surname Wilson had once been enslaved by Creek Indians.
