Family: He married Priscilla Thompson in Fayette County, Georgia on 1 December 1866. The 1910C says they had 18 children; 13 living children at the time of his death.
Military: Civil War Confederate in Company G 30th Georgia Infantry from 25 September 1861 to 19 June 1865. He spent time as a prisoner of war at Camp Douglas, Illinois.
Civilian: He was a farmer.
