Several dates are used as his birth date: His death certificate states 2 October 1872; his memorial markers states 5 October 1874 and his WWI draft registration states 6 October 1876. He was born to Isaac Denton Pennington and Nancy Jane Hudson in Tennessee. He married Abigail Agnus Allen in Lawrence Tennessee on 23 March 1903. They were in Flower Mound by 1910, where he became a dairy farmer in Flower Mound. Little is known about his actual service.
