Bio:
Jack attended North Texas State University for one year and spent his summer hauling hay to save money. He transferred to Texas A&M University where he studied Veterinary Medicine before graduating in 1966. Jack worked for the government for one year before serving in The United States Army Veterinarian Corp. In Vietnam, he provided veterinary care for Army guard dogs and for farm animals in local villages. Jack received the Campaign and Service Medal, Conduct Medal, and the National Service Medal. After serving as a Captain in New York and Vietnam, Jack returned home in 1969 and began practicing veterinary medicine in Irving, Texas. He served on the Board of Directors of the Dallas Veterinary Medical Association and the Board of Directors of the Airport Freeway Animal Emergency Clinic. Jack was also a member of the AAHA, AVMA, and TVMA. Jack became a partner of Irving Animal Hospital with Dr. Jack Jones, and worked there providing care, expertise, and comfort to hundreds of animals and their owners until his retirement in 2012.
