Bio:

On March 31, 1944, he was traveling in a truck with crew mates when the vehicle was struck by a train, resulting in fatal head injuries. [5] His body was originally buried at Mt. Soprano Temporary US Military Cemetery on April 2, 1944. In 1948, his family requested that his body be returned to Mexia, Texas for his final resting place. He was buried in Woodland Cemetery on 29 Aug 1948.
