Bio:
Private First Class Cody Board, age 19, of McKinney, Texas, was Killed In Action in Afghanistan on October 4, 2010 while serving in the United States Army, 3rd Platoon, Apache Company, First Squadron 2nd Stryker Cavalry Regiment, Vilseck, Germany. PFC Cody graduated from McKinney North High School in 2009 where he was a member of the Cross-Country and Wrestling teams. He is survived by his father, Christopher W. Board of McKinney, Texas; mother, Melissa Board of McKinney, Texas; brothers Aaron and Tyler Board of McKinney, Texas; grandparents, Robert Board and fiancé, Marian Locke of Coon Rapids, Minnesota, Albert Daley and fiancé, Laqueta Snyder of Grove, Oklahoma. He was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Mozella Daley and Sally Board. His military awards include the Combat Infantryman’s Badge, Bronze Star (posthumous), Purple Heart (posthumous), and the National Defense Medal.
