Bio:

Born 1949 - Father was in the Navy - lived in several states as is the way it goes in a military family. Moved back to Texas in 1960 when my father retired. Went to SMU for 2 years and then worked and finally decided to go in the military - chose the Air Force because they would send me to language school. Attended Defense Language School in Monterey, California Jan 1973-Apr 1974, specializing in Basic and Intermediate Russian. After more training, I was sent to West Berlin and worked at Field Station Berlin in the British sector. I was discharged in 1975 to have my daughter. Travelled as a military spouse and got my BA in Russian and East European History at The University of Texas at Arlington. Later worked on Ft. Meade. Moved back to Texas in 1989 and have been here ever since.
