What is Tejas?
The word Tejas comes from the ancient Caddo language, meaning a friend or ally. In that spirit, Tejas of Texas Heroes stands as a network of individuals committed to being friends and allies to the veterans who’ve selflessly served our nation.
Who We Are
We are a community-driven 100 Club that contributes $100 every quarter. Our mission is simple: to enhance the lives of veterans residing in the Texas 9 Veterans State Homes. These homes provide care for Texas veterans, and our contributions directly fund efforts to make their lives more comfortable and enjoyable as they live out their final years with the dignity they deserve.
